From billet to bundle
Every length of TMT bar passes through the same five stages, all under one roof.
Billet yard
Steel billets arrive and are stacked, marked and lifted by magnet crane to the furnace line.
Reheating furnace
Billets are heated until they are soft enough to roll.
Rolling mill
A chain of rolling stands squeezes the hot billet into bar, stand after stand, under constant water cooling.
Cooling bed
Ribbed bars cool on the bed and are cut and counted into lengths.
Bundling and dispatch
Bars are bundled, tagged for traceability and loaded for delivery.

With over 30 years in the commercial, marketing and technical sides of the flat and long steel products industry, he has built and led a team of more than 3,000 people.
Under his vision, Jatia Steel is working to meet its targets and stay at the front of India's growth story.
